  Oddities and Curiosities
There are some surprisingly strange weapons in Camelot. Neither epic nor exactly "unique", these weapons still fall outside the usually predictable realm of Camelot equipment.

Uber Bag
ZoneMobThanks to
Unknown Unknown Vicrazea
  • Sometimes smacking people with a sack full or rocks is really the best way to get things done.
  • Unfortunately this is just a bug, but if you act quick enough, you could get your very own uber bag before it gets fixed and becomes something boring like a sword. Get to it!

Blessed Northern Sword
ZoneMobThanks to
Jordheim None Khildan
  • You get this for the 40th level Viking epic quest.
  • It uses an Albion sword model! Madness!

Elder Runed Scroll
ZoneMobThanks to
Vanern Swamp Hagbuis Sortbane
  • This strange scroll dropped from Hagbuis on one of the Euro servers. It's just jewelry, but it can also be "read." Doing so results in the screen shown.
  • The language, as Sortbane and his friend figured out, is Futhark - an ancient Norse Rune language. As best they could figure, it translates into:
    e y/j r a t h e t t a t r o l l i n t h a u s e m i h e l l i n u m v/w a r u
hey rat hetta troll in thau semi hell in umwaru
Of course, that's not right, but it's a start.
  • A thread discussing the translation broke out here, in which much headway was made and a seemingly accurate translation was discovered.
  • Finally, Lanrion sent me this: "The runes of the Elder Runed Scroll are excerpts from the Saga of Egil One-hand and Asmundar Berserksbane. The following link goes to a page with the old norse version of the story.  I couldn't find a translated version on the web, but it can be found in english in a book called Seven Viking Romances" Wow, so there you have it, Nice research Mythic!

That's all for now. This page is updated regularly - as long as information keeps coming - so remember to send anything you see or find to captelephant@lagmonster.com.
